Currently working with a material that is 'politically incorrect' but....then again why not? Moved on from leather which by the way, is amazing to work with to (not saying yet!)

grabbing opportunities...

Sometimes...there are so many doors of opportunity open that is a nerve-racking guessing game which one to go through!! Can only juggle so many pies at once! I'm one for grabbing opportunity with both hands...but what happens when you are overwhelmed with opportunity? Burn the candle at both ends and be left with wax...but then again..it's what you do with the leftover wax that really matters. I'd rather crash and burn than not try at all! Bring on opportunities!!! I'll take them on...adrenalin pumping, breathless with anticipation! Cos then I could say I put my best foot forward and there is ALWAYS something to learn from 'having a go'

exhibition on.......!

Been really hectic lately....prepping for exhibition. Least it's on now! Bit of a slow start but the feedback is awesome!!! Loving it! Definitely on a roll!! Taking the ups with the downs! Absolute fun!!

ready at last....!

it's that time again....! exhibitions! rushed off my feet, more excited than apprehensive....really loving this journey....sometimes so hard, others times swimming with the tide...

Looking forward to exhibition, trading at Spitalfields has definitely finetuned my 'people' skills. Communicating is truly the bee's knees.

Will keep you posted as I prep for exhibition on the 16th of this month. It's actually a 4 man show and I really looking forward to it. Especially as I have only met one of the designers participating, yet to meet the other two....hmmmmmmm....fun!

Learning to walk! Definitely riding the tide! Learning every single day how much business is about consistency...Actually beginning to work set hours for 'myself'. It's amazing how the mindset changes when you work for yourself as though you were paid to work set hours.

Rather than working through the night...I'm beginning to utilise the day..set myself a number of hours to work and simply get to it! Beginning to achieve so much! Obviously, I occasionally work overtime...but I'm totally learning to not burn the candle at both ends!!

On the ball.....

Definitely on the roll (God's Grace). Getting there.....eye on the ball and loving it!!!

the beauty of the hotseat!

Truly learning so very much! Running a business is exhilirating, frustrating, tiring, fascinating, intriguing, eye opening and WHAT A BUZZ!!!
I'm loving it!!! At least I'm out of nappies now!!! I'm a toddler...learning to walk! It's so easy to listen to a business advisor....go to seminars...read books...etc. The bottom line is you have to run a business to know a business....and thick skin is a necessity! I love a good challenge! and I have definitely found one in business! what a BUZZ!!! definitely not for the fainthearted! There is nothing more exhilarating that getting up when you've been knocked down!! You get up with drive and way more ambition than before! Now is the time to read some books...go to some seminars...to compare notes(mainly) and get a few tidbits! But my days...you have to be a people person...engage with people...learn from your customers. As well as absolutely, unreservedly love your product!! Sell something you would invest in!
Running a business is the bees' knees!!! It's all about the honey!!!

Totally dismal sales today!!! and to make it worse...I mislaid some money!!!!
really low earlier...but chin up!
got lots of interest though...
it's a learning curve...taken away some valuable lessons! looking forward to April!

It's great when things don't go to plan...keeps you on your toes all the while teaching you to up your game and think outside the box!

so I really must say..had a great day learning on the job!!!

Actually beginning to learn the ropes.....never again will I assume running a business is a walk in the park!

It's so easy to expect the world to come find a great product. I now realise a great product should go find the world!!!

I'm learning......lots of hard graft eventually pays off cos a business will not run itself!!!
