learning to play...away from work!

I have now resolved to PLAY HARD AND WORK HARD!!! Cos suddenly dawned on me that I have no PLAY TIME!!! Always working....well...blurring the lines between work and play....cos I enjoy what I do and working at it has been playtime to me.

but now, I actually want to start taking time out, away from making books, art etc and go PLAY

Right now, I am once again intrigued by the cinema and popcorn! So till I find something more playful to do, I hope to see a new film every single week! (fingers crossed)

Looking forward to trading at the Designer/Maker Market on Saturday!!! Going to be so inspired....there will be so many other creatives there...so what a vibe(to look forward to)....!!!

Now back to work for me.....let's go have some fun....!!

Spitz: home away from home!!

Yay!!! Had another brilliant Friday at Spitalfields! Spitz is a great NETWORKING space!!! Brilliant punters!!! Love the vibe!! The visitors to Spitz are simply the best in the world!!! Easy going, down-to-earth and simply amazing to talk to. It's lovely to meet people who are genuinely interested in a stall holder's opinion and not just the 'product'. It's the whole package 'banter...chat....haggle...treats and best wishes'

Met awesome people yesterday and the stallholders are a breath of fresh air! Spitz is definitely home away from home!

Totally KNACKERED and truly ECSTATIC!!
Had an awesome day yesterday at Spitalfields! And not because I made loads of money.....Nope. Sales were dismal but feedback was priceless!!!
A lady came to my (DESIGNWITHFLAIR) stall and she was beaming....very delighted with a purchase she had made from me a while ago...whilst shopping with her niece. She told me her niece is still very very happy with the purchase. and that is priceless....simply made my day. I absolutely am bursting with pride and so very encouraged. So matters very little that sales were dismal, what really gets me is FEEDBACK!!! Knowing that someone somewhere is very happy with one of my products. Constant reminder that sales are mounting up and I'm definitely on the right track!
So thank you, lovely lady for making my day!!

Art, Craft & Design Festival at Leather Lane

Getting ready for the festival at Leather Lane....! or at least 'trying' to get ready....(i suppose) in my very own 'do a million things at once' way!! Really could do with a break!

Need to make at least 20 more books ....and don't know how I'm going to fit that into one week! Festival's on the 17/18 March & 24/25 March 2011!

Trading at Spitalfields on Friday as usual...! Sometimes feel got tooooooo many eggs in this basket....! So much to do...(and here I am BLOGGING again!)
Oh well, (got to let it all out sometime!) it's all good!
